Have you watched Deco Hogar lately?
It’s amazing how the first season is over and we’re now on the second… time sure flies away! I hadn’t written about the last episodes because they weren’t online yet (and how could I do that to you?), but now that they are up on the site for everyone to enjoy, I can finally write about them, yay! Today, I want to tell you about episode 10, where I made one of my most favorite DIY’s: an amazing (and most easy) headboard.
Some of you might know this headboard from before, and so you’ll know why it is so special to me: it’s the one I made for my brother, a little over a year ago, when I made over his room.
Me encantó entonces, y me encantó ahora.
I loved it then, and love it now.
The stained wood gets a richer tone, and combined with the copper spray paint from Rustoleum (which I love), the result is a modern and quite spectacular headboard (for a fraction of the price you’d pay at stores). Then of course, you can play around with the stain tones and spray paint colors, choosing your favorite combination (I want to try with white).
Having made the headboard in both Mexico and Argentina allowed me to realize some differences in the supplies, especially stains. Here in Mexico, the stains are already prepared, so you only apply them on wood, but in Argentina the stain was like an extract, so I dilluted it in thinner before my segment was shot 😉

Oh, and don’t forget there’s a new episode tonight, where we’ll be making some projects for our bathrooms and powder rooms (mine is an easy rug). 😉
Last but not least, I want to thank Rustoleum Latinamerica for being such angels to me while in Argentina. You were amazing, guys!
